hoo-rah.
Yesterday marked the second anniversary of this thing I call JadedTurtle. To celebrate I slept late and worked late and then saw
LOTR:TTT for the second time.

I left thinking it was a better film seen the second time, and I left itching for an extended 4 DVD version to come out as soon as humanely possible so I could see all that should be seen. Which means that I liked it, and that I am a geek.

After completing that inane and crazy full tilt schedule stated above I found that I had missed any and all chance of actually posting something in time for the special birthday thingy of this site. Well in truth Jaded has 3 birthdays. I started posting on blogspot on December 30th 2000 but only ever made 1 post and then switched over to geocities on the 31st and made somewhat of an attempt at a post though actual posts don't start until January of 2001 and then the final birthday on May 1st when I switched from geocities to my own domain.

A little boring history never hurt anyone. Except of course for James Cantrell. Little Jimmy was a book fiend back in the day, he loved reading old musty and brittle tomes about long times past. That is until the history shelves collapsed upon him. He was climbing them, trying to get to Riggs' translation of Kritovolos' History of Mehmed the Conqueror which lay on the top shelf. Alas if Jimmy were just a wee bit taller then his 3 foot frame he might still have his left hand.

But anyway. Happy Birthday JadedTurtle.

White Christmas Night
It rained all day in West Islip, which made the day a little dreary, but it all turned to snow around 5pm and we ended up with about 6 inches of snow.

The celebrations were held at my mother's house and we had a good time. Aunt Carol brought a karaoke machine and I stayed as far away from it as possible. My sis Jenny won a nice bundle in buck dice and I lost a few myself.

Hope all is well. Pics to come.

Found in notebook
Wendy's Central Square.
- Hey Keith.
+ Hey man how's it goin'?
- Pretty good.
+ Writing?
- I am currently writing a story about a bathroom.
+ The whole story takes place in a bathroom?
- Yep. Told from the toilet's perspective.
+ That's stupid. A toilet narrative. Does it speak in voice overs?
- No. It is all based on footage of these 3 toilet cams in a unisex bathroom.
+ Toilet cams?
- Toilet cams.
+ That's just sick.
- Yes it is. I have writer's block.

Weddings
2003 will be the next big year of weddings for me. They seem to run in 4 year cycles. The problem with this upcoming year is the fact that I was told of the engagements all within a months time. Only one couple has a set date. But I have an odd fear that they will all be in the summer.

Andrew and Allison on August 16th in Williamsburg, VA.
Maiko and Casey.
Ann Marie and Tom.

And I believe I am missing one here.

Also Sasha (housemate) and Alex will be getting married in Germany on the 23rd, but officially married in July in Italy. (Yes December 23rd)

All these weddings are making me a little anxious. I am almost 30 and I have caught no one special, I lost one (or two depending on my mood), but no one now. I probably won't even have a date.

Wireless

The house is now hooked to a cable modem with wireless access throughout the house. Signal is good almost everywhere.

Yippeee.

Final Word Count: 0
It is over and not even a scant word to my credit.
NaNoWriMo was, at least, not a waste of my time because my time was wasted elsewhere.

I spent more time her in the first few days of the month writing excuses than writing a novel. Then I stopped all writing all together. I stopped visiting other blogs, I stopped my virtual life all together.

Nothing critical or crucial happened in this time period, I just lost the desire to write. Call it a writer's block or what have you.

I bought things. I played video games. I drove my car. I visited friends.

I still don't feel like writing, I don't feel like it at all. So I will either force it or wait it out.
